How we build

From first conversation to final launch

Every engagement begins with understanding the business, defining the right product, and agreeing exactly what will be delivered. From there we build with a fixed price, a clear timeline, and a communication structure built around you.

Free consultation. Complimentary project blueprint. A fixed price before development begins.

The model

Clarity before construction

Before development begins, the project is translated into a defined product plan — scope, price, timeline, responsibilities, and outcome, aligned in advance so both sides know exactly what is being built.

A fixed scope

What is being built is written down before it is built — included features, and the ones deliberately left out.

A fixed price

One number, agreed before construction begins. It changes only when the agreed scope changes, never as hours accumulate.

An agreed timeline

A committed initial-delivery date, set together — not an estimate that quietly slips.

Communication you choose

From milestone updates to a check-in every 48 hours. You set the cadence that fits how you work.

Review before the balance

The majority of the fee comes due only after the agreed product is delivered, reviewed, and approved.

The process

Eight stages, one committed timeline

The complete journey, from the first complimentary conversation through delivery, review, and launch.

  1. Free consultation

    Understand the business

Every engagement begins with a complimentary conversation about the business, the challenge, the people who will use what we build, and what success actually looks like.

    • Business goals and target users
    • Core features and existing technology
    • Operational challenges and brand direction
    • Desired launch timing and investment range

No obligation, and no paid discovery call.

  2. Project blueprint

    Design the right build

After the consultation, we prepare a complimentary blueprint: the recommended product structure, the major features and user flows, integration direction, and a suggested tier and timeline.

    • Recommended product architecture
    • Primary user flows and core features
    • Administrative capabilities and integrations
    • Suggested tier, with a preliminary timeline

    Complimentary strategy, before any commitment.

  3. Build alignment

    Agree on the mission

We review the blueprint together and agree the exact scope, the fixed price, the delivery schedule, the review period, and how we will communicate throughout.

    • Included and excluded features
    • Project price and commencement deposit
    • Initial-delivery date and review period
    • Client responsibilities and completion criteria
  4. Project commencement

    Prepare for construction

The project starts once the scope is approved, the commencement deposit is received, and the assets, content, and access we need have been provided. The delivery clock begins from that point.

    • Scope approved and deposit received
    • Brand files, content, and product information supplied
    • Credentials, hosting, and domain access provided
    • Required approvals in hand
  5. Active construction

    Build with full visibility

Construction begins, and you choose how closely to follow it — from milestone reviews and asynchronous updates to scheduled meetings as often as every 48 hours.

    • Current milestone and completed work
    • Upcoming work and questions awaiting approval
    • Timeline status and meeting notes
    • Build previews as they become reviewable
  6. Initial delivery

    Receive the working product

The agreed product is delivered on the committed date and enters its review period: the core functionality works, it reflects the approved direction, and it is ready for you to test and refine.

    • Agreed core functionality is working
    • The product reflects the approved direction
    • It is ready for client testing
    • This is the milestone the guarantee is measured against
  7. Review and refinement

    Refine until it is ready

During the included review period you can request unlimited refinements within the agreed scope. The aim is not to ration revisions but to finish the agreed product properly.

    • Layout, spacing, and visual refinements
    • Wording and responsive adjustments
    • Corrections to agreed functionality and workflows
    • New scope is proposed separately, at its own fixed price
  8. Approval and launch

    Approve and launch

Once the agreed product is delivered, reviewed, and approved, the remaining balance comes due and the launch process is completed — deployment, handoff, and ownership transfer.

    • Production deployment and domain connection
    • Credential transfer and documentation
    • Ownership and licensing handoff
    • Optional training and ongoing support

The majority of the balance is not due until delivery and approval.

Communication

Your project should never disappear into a black box

You choose how closely to follow the build — from milestone updates to a scheduled check-in every 48 hours. Every option is a real one; none is mandatory.

Milestone updates

At each milestone

Asynchronous written updates as each milestone completes, with previews to review in your own time. Lightest-touch, for teams who prefer to stay out of the build.

Weekly meetings

Once a week

A scheduled progress meeting each week, plus asynchronous updates between them. The common default: enough rhythm to stay close without becoming a standing commitment.

Twice-weekly meetings

Two a week

Two scheduled check-ins a week, for projects moving quickly or with more decisions to make together as construction proceeds.

Every 48 hours

Every two days

A scheduled touchpoint every 48 hours — the closest cadence offered, for the most involved engagements. Scheduled and operationally reasonable, never on-demand.

A timeline with consequences

The studio commits to an initial delivery date in writing. If it misses that date for reasons within its control — with the agreed scope unchanged and your materials provided on time — the total project fee is reduced by 30%. It is accountability for the commitment, not a discount.

Why it works

Built around outcomes, not billable hours

The same project, two ways of paying for it. The difference is where the risk of a delay sits.

Traditional development

  • Billed by the hour
  • Budgets that expand over time
  • Uncertain delivery dates
  • Limited visibility into progress
  • Payment due regardless of outcome

Our model

  • One fixed price for an agreed scope
  • A price that only moves with scope
  • A committed initial-delivery date
  • Communication at the cadence you choose
  • The balance due after delivery and approval

Questions

How we build, answered

Is the first consultation really free?

Yes. The consultation and the project blueprint that follows are both complimentary. You get a clear direction before making any development commitment.

What is included in the project blueprint?

A recommended product structure, the major features and user flows, integration direction, a suggested tier, and a preliminary timeline. It gives you strategic direction without handing over a complete implementation specification.

When does the delivery timeline begin?

When three things are true: the scope is approved, the commencement deposit is received, and the assets, content, and access we need have been provided. The delivery clock starts from that point.

How often can we meet during development?

As often as every 48 hours, or as little as milestone-only updates — you choose the cadence. Meetings are scheduled and operationally reasonable rather than on-demand.

Can I see the product before final delivery?

Yes. Depending on the cadence you choose, you can follow completed work, upcoming work, and build previews throughout construction.

What happens during the review period?

You test and refine the delivered product. You can request unlimited refinements within the agreed scope until the delivery requirements are satisfied.

What counts as a revision?

Refinements to the agreed product: layout, spacing, wording, responsive behavior, and corrections to agreed functionality. Anything outside the agreed blueprint is new scope, proposed separately.

When is the final payment due?

After the agreed product has been delivered, reviewed, and approved. The commencement deposit begins the work; the majority of the fee follows approval.

Can you keep supporting the product after launch?

Yes. Ongoing support is optional and arranged separately from the fixed project price.
